Maybe someone can explain how this part is supposed to work:
| Quote: | | * You need to fight to remain on the board. As more people play, the minimum to get on the board is raised, and at the same time, this minimum is required to remain on the board. Soon, all the 1/1's start being replaced, and resorted. So a 1/1 will need to play again, and hope for another win, to be re-listed as 2/2. By the end of the month, only the truly skillful will be listed. |
Does that mean the median number of games or the average or what? |

Interesting but that doesn't answer my question. My rank is not frozen.
I was under the impression (when I first read the ranking rules), that when the average number of games played went up, people with less then that would no longer show up on the board.
But maybe there are only 100 people playing right now...
I guess percentage trumps all, which I knew but was just wondering what this part for the explanation was supposed to really mean.
It sounds like the former but seems to be that, in order to get the 1/1 with 100% off the board, 100 people would have to be 2/2. |

This is not the case. It's the lowest number of wins. If you take an average of a list of statistics you'll have some higher and some lower (as long as the numbers aren't the same). If you take away all of the statistics lower than the average, you've created a whole new average, which also has scores lower than it. If you kept doing this, you'd just end up with one left (that's the best I can explain it). So basically, using average isn't the way to go.

1/1 with 100% will stay on the board as long as it's not lower than the rest of the board in terms of games won. Once 100 people win 2 games, that 1/1 is kicked off of the board. _________________ Blackson on Quadradius. |

Took me ages to get myself, but I think I can understand it now. Tell me if I'm wrong:
It's two-tiered basically, qualifying and then ranking. You qualify by being in the top 100 in wins (percentage followed by timestamp tiebreaks).
Then that pool of 100 is sorted solely by percentage.
If someone surpasses someone in the first tier by number of wins, a person falls off the leaderboard regardless of where they were ranked (so it's not necessarily #100 who drops. If the 1/1 showed as #1, but everyone else has 2 wins, he's bumped.)
The 1/1 gets pissed and plays more and gets back on. And then the new guy who gets bumped keeps going.
And so on. The redline keeps rising as a result of this continuously climbing number of games played.
Hope I got that right.
Now question:
If I saw the redline was listed as "3 wins, >60.0%" that also means "4 wins, any percentage" will qualify as well, yes? |

but eventually everyone will rank sit at 3 wins and just use guest accounts while they hope for someone else to lose first
well, at least that is what it looks to be trending towards.. |
