We've daydreamed about QR on portable devices for ages.

It is likely a huge amount of work to get the full games ported to a platform that does not natively support Flash.

However, it may not be an insane amount of work to build a 5x6 version of the game limited to traditional Guest powers. There already exist several "hosted" games that require near-real time bidirectional communication (Scramble, iShoot, even Ocarina).

This would sell many - many downloads and might serve as a gateway drug for the real game. Include a mini-subscription for each download purchased (1 week from activation, or 10 wins) so that people can try the online version.

For reference the iShoot guy made 200K last year and the iFart guy is a millionaire. This could allow Ji$$i to quit his job and work on Qrimson full time!

It's actually quite difficult to recoup your development costs on iphone games, fyi.

Yeah just make a smaller arena version that works on Flash, and is visible on a small screen. You wouldn't have to make it platform specific. Any hand help phone or device (Nokia N800, N810, N900 for example) could play it as long as the device can do flash.

At some point the iPhone might be able to do Flash. I hope so… QuadRadius on the go would be wicked sick. I'm such a junkie.

Maybe you're right. Your reasoning is valid, but Apple may find a way to enable Flash in a way that doesn't neglect iTunes and the App Store; or they might simply give in if all other phones could do Flash.

But even if these hopes get destroyed, I would still be (extremely) satisfied if I could play QuadRadius through jailbreaking.

Oh really. But will QuadRadius work with it or is it just Flash Video, which my Google results seem to suggest?
